Description
The T10 Wide Clipper Blade is a practical everyday blade for groomers who need efficiency, consistency, and reliable cutting performance.
This blade follows the same wide blade design and cutting style made popular by the Andis UltraEdge T-10. The wider cutting surface allows you to cover more coat in each pass, which makes a noticeable difference when grooming larger dogs, heavy-coated breeds, or horses.
From workshop experience, wide blades can significantly reduce grooming time when used properly. You spend less time overlapping passes and you get a smoother finish with fewer visible lines through the coat.
The T10 leaves approximately 1.5mm of coat, making it a very versatile close-cut blade. It works well for:
- Full body clipping
- Strip downs
- Matted coat removal
- Sanitary work
- Grooming larger breeds
- Horse grooming and body clipping
The tooth pattern is designed to feed coat cleanly without grabbing or dragging excessively through thicker coats. That matters because a blade that feeds smoothly generally runs cooler, puts less strain on the clipper motor, and creates a more consistent finish.
This blade is best suited to:
- Professional dog groomers
- Mobile groomers wanting faster grooming times
- Horse groomers
- High-volume salons
- Serious home users wanting professional-style equipment
The steel hardness and finish are built for long-term use and repeat servicing. Like the UltraEdge-style blades, the cutting surfaces are designed to maintain edge life well when properly cleaned, oiled, and serviced regularly.
As a sharpener, one thing I always tell groomers is that blade life comes down just as much to maintenance as manufacturing quality. Regular oiling, proper cleaning, and avoiding excessive heat will dramatically improve performance and sharpening lifespan.
The T10 Wide fits most A5 detachable blade clippers including:
- Andis AG/AGC series
- Heiniger
- Wahl KM series
- Oster A5
- Other compatible A5-style clippers
If you’re unsure whether a wide blade setup is right for your clipper or workflow, feel free to get in touch. I’d rather point you toward the right setup than sell you something that doesn’t suit the way you groom.
